How does this bloody thing work?!

So, my journey into the world of  tablet drawing has begun - using the so called magic free software that is Gimp.
So far I suck pretty hard at it, but I made this doodle-man whilst cursing and staring confused at the screen.
Curse you age of technology, curse you!

All is not lost though.

I have not given up on the tablet/Gimp/how-the-hell-does-this-shit-work-thing, but drawing old school is just something else, so today I finally ordered a Pilot Parallel Pen and it should be mine soon!
Oh joy, I simply cannot wait!
